“En Français” is the theme of this year’s Alexander Paley Music Festival, Sept. 27-29 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 7757 Chippenham Parkway.
The Paley Festival, first staged in Richmond in 1998, features the Moldavan-born, Russian-schooled pianist performing solo and chamber music with his wife and duo and four-hands piano partner, the Taiwan-born pianist Pei-wen Chen, and casts of Richmond-based and international musicians.
In this fall’s festival, Paley will present a solo program on Sept. 27. On Sept. 28 he will be joined by Amiram Ganz, an Uruguay-born French violinist whom Paley has known and performed with since they were students at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In the third concert on Sept. 28, Paley and Chen will play duo-piano works.
Admission to the concerts is by donation. For more information, visit http://paleymusicfestival.org
