UR Modlin Center offers Digital Stage series

The University of Richmond’s Modlin Arts Center has opened registration for seven winter and spring digital online performances, including a series from New York’s Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

Pianist Wu Han, cellist David Finckel, violinist Arnaud Sussman and violist Paul Neubauer will play works by Beethoven and Brahms at 7 p.m. March 5.

Other Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center offerings include performances by pianist Gilbert Kalish and soprano Lisette Oropesa on March 12, clarinetist David Shifrin and pianist Gloria Chien on March 26, violinist Arnaud Sussman on April 2, and an instrumental ensemble in a “Summer Evenings” program on April 9, all beginning at 7 p.m.

The Modlin Center’s Digital Stage series also will feature the dance troupe Sankofa Danzafro in “La Ciudad de los Otros” (“The City of Others”), reflecting the racial undercurrents of Colombia, on Feb. 3; Richmond-based Héctor Coco Barez joined by a group of Puerto Rican musicians in a performance presented alongside the University Museums’ “Action & Reaction: Looking at the Art of Social Justice,” on Feb. 22.
