The Menuhin Competition for young violinists, which had been scheduled for May 14-24 in Richmond, has been postponed until May 13-23, 2021. Virginia Opera canceled performances of Verdi’s “Aïda,” which had been scheduled for March 20, 22 and 24 at Norfolk’s Harrison Opera House and March 27 and 29 at the Carpenter Theatre of Dominion Energy Center in Richmond, and of Derrick Wang’s “Scalia/Ginsberg,” which was scheduled for April 4 in Norfolk.
